Four Qul (٤ قُل)

Why Recite the Four Qul?
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would recite these surahs every night before sleeping, blowing into his hands and wiping over his body. He also recited them morning and evening for protection. These four surahs together provide a comprehensive shield against all types of harm - spiritual, physical, and psychological.
Surah Al-Kafirunالكافرون
"The Disbelievers" • 6 verses • Surah 109
Arabic Text
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ﴿١﴾ لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٢﴾ وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ ﴿٣﴾ وَلَا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ ﴿٤﴾ وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ ﴿٥﴾ لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ ﴿٦﴾
English Translation
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1. Say, "O disbelievers, 2. I do not worship what you worship. 3. Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. 4. Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship. 5. Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. 6. For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

Surah Al-Ikhlasالإخلاص

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ﴿١﴾ اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ ﴿٢﴾ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ﴿٣﴾ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ﴿٤﴾
English Translation
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1. Say, "He is Allah, the One. 2. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. 3. He neither begets nor is born. 4. Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ﴿١﴾ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿٢﴾ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿٣﴾ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ﴿٤﴾ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿٥﴾
English Translation
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1. Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, 2. From the evil of that which He created, 3. And from the evil of darkness when it settles, 4. And from the evil of those who blow on knots, 5. And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

Surah An-Nasالناس

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ﴿١﴾ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ﴿٢﴾ إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ ﴿٣﴾ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ﴿٤﴾ الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ﴿٥﴾ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ﴿٦﴾
English Translation
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1. Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, 2. The Sovereign of mankind, 3. The God of mankind, 4. From the evil of the retreating whisperer, 5. Who whispers into the hearts of mankind, 6. From among jinn and mankind."

How to Recite the Four Qul
Before Sleeping (Recommended)
- Recite all four surahs 3 times each
- Cup your hands together
- Blow gently into your palms
- Wipe your hands over your entire body
- Start from head to feet, front and back
Morning & Evening (Daily)
- Recite after Fajr prayer (morning)
- Recite after Asr/Maghrib prayer (evening)
- Minimum 1 time, recommended 3 times each
- Provides protection until the next recitation
