Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permits? He knows what is before them and what is behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. For He is the Most High, the Supreme.

The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say: 'We make no distinction between any of His Messengers' and they say: 'We hear and we obey. Grant us Your Forgiveness, our Lord. To You is the final return.' Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. It will have what it earned, and it will bear what it has earned. Our Lord, do not take us to account if we forget or make mistakes. Our Lord, do not burden us with what those before us were burdened with. Our Lord, do not burden us with what we have no ability to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelieving people.

Whoever recites these at night, they will suffice him (protection for the night).
