Understanding Islamic Prayer Times

The five daily prayers (Salah) are performed at specific times throughout the day, determined by the position of the sun. Our prayer times calculator uses astronomical calculations to provide accurate times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers.

The Five Daily Prayers

• Fajr - Dawn prayer, performed before sunrise
• Dhuhr - Midday prayer, after the sun passes its zenith
• Asr - Afternoon prayer, when shadows lengthen
• Maghrib - Sunset prayer, immediately after sunset
• Isha - Night prayer, after twilight disappears

Finding the Qibla Direction

The Qibla is the direction towards the Kaaba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Muslims face this direction during prayer. Our Qibla compass calculates the precise bearing from your location to the Kaaba using spherical trigonometry.
